General Information about Selce

The town of Selce in Croatia, with 2,500 inhabitants, is located about 34 kilometers from Rijeka and together with Jadranovo, Dramalj and Crikvenica it forms the famous Crikvenica Riviera. The history of Selce as a tourist resort dates back to 1894, when the first seaside resort opened, and the first villas and guesthouses were built. Even today, you can enjoy a touch of nostalgic charm in this unique vacation paradise, which this seaside resort has fortunately managed to preserve. Sandy Beach Rokan

The Plaza Rokan, the famous main beach of Selce, is a picturesque sandy beach with the most beautiful turquoise sea colors. Especially, families with children love this bathing bay, where Caribbean blue water colors and the white sand conjure up true vacation flair. Behind the beach there are several bars and restaurants, and entertainment such as water sports and bouncy castle is also provided.

Plaza Selce

The beach Plaza Selce in the north of the resort is truly idyllic. It is located directly on the coastal promenade, but far from the hustle and bustle of the main beaches, and enchants with a stunning scenery. Here guests can enjoy a wonderful mix of fine pebble and stone beaches, with quiet places for sunbathing.

Karlovac Beach

The Beach Karlovac is a real highlight in Selce and a fabulous tip for unforgettable summer days on the Adriatic. Particularly beautiful is the bright pebble, which together with the turquoise sea and the Mediterranean green trees conjures up a stunning atmosphere.

Beach Maslina

Plaza Maslina is a really nice, very clean concrete beach in the south of Selce. Especially older people, but also couples who appreciate the peace and quiet, like to come here to swim. Although there is hardly any natural shade, you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds for a fee during the summer months. A charming beach bar also provides the necessary food and drinks, including a magnificent view of the sea.

Sandy Beach Poli Mora

The Beach Poli Mora is one of the most popular swimming spots in Selce. Here you can enjoy a golden sandy beach, which slopes gently into the sea and offers optimal conditions for children but also for non-swimmers. Action is provided because right nearby is a playground, there is a water bouncy castle and also a large water slide. Moreover, the culinary offer with snack bars, restaurants and bars nearby is just optimal.

Worth visiting is Novi Vinodolski, with its charming old town and beautiful coastline. A trip to Senj with the imposing fortress Nehaj from the 16th century is also recommended.

You should not miss a little road trip through the hinterland of Selce. The magnificent viewpoints “Eyes of Vinodol” offer probably the most spectacular view of the Riviera.
