General Information about Njivice

The 1,200 inhabitants village Njivice is situated between Malinska and Omisalj, and ranks among the most recommendable vacation places for a relaxed beach vacation on the island Krk. The small-town stretches along a coastline of about 3 kilometers, from the campsite Njivice in the north to the quiet vacation settlement Kijac in the south. The first settlement probably dates back to ancient times, and the town had first been mentioned in a document in 1474. A few years ago, it was still a small tranquil fishing village, but now Njivice is a lovely vacation paradise, which fortunately has been able to retain its unique flair.

Extremely romantic and at the same time, the tourist center is the beautiful harbor, where cozy cafés invite you to linger and excellent restaurants serve freshly caught fish, tasty pizza and delicious Croatian grilled specialties. Past the harbor leads the picturesque coastal promenade, which connects the town center with the beautiful beaches of Njivice, and which is also ideal for long walks. On the way, you will always find small café-bars where you can enjoy the fabulous vacation flair with amazing sea views.
