Sunrise Beach, or Hat Chao Ley is simply spectacular and is not only one of the most beautiful beaches of Koh Lipe, but also of all of Thailand. The sand is lightning white and gives a breathtaking contrast to the sea, which shimmers in the most beautiful blue and turquoise colors. One swims in the crystal clear water and can also marvel at a colorful underwater world with numerous tropical fish as well as colorful corals while snorkeling. Sunrise Beach is still quiet and also less touristy than the main beach, Pattaya Beach. Beautiful is the Sunrise Beach in the south, where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the small island Koh Usen and you can find fantastic luxury accommodations. Sunrise Beach is also famous for its legendary sunrises, which are said to be among the best in Thailand!
The Karma Beach
Karma Beach, also known as North Point Beach, is definitely one of the most beautiful stretches of Sunrise Beach. It is especially famous for its distinctive white sandbar that appears at low tide and graces the postcards of Koh Lipe. Depending on the season, this headland is slightly larger or smaller, sometimes round or pointed in shape. At this section of Sunrise Beach, the sand is particularly fine and velvety. When the water level is low, you can wade really far out into the sea at this point, and the offshore reef is also ideal for snorkeling.
Tip: Directly on the dream beach is the Zodiac Seesun Resort with gorgeous bungalows and a fabulous view of the sea.

You have the possibility to explore the most beautiful island pearls and reefs of Ko Tarutao National Park with a traditional longtail boat. In addition, the cab boats also take you at a reasonable price to the opposite neighboring island of Koh Adang, where the famous Koh Lipe Viewpoint is also located. The taxi boat stand is located at the middle beach section and the crossing to Koh Adang start several times a day.

Sunrise Beach on Koh Lipe is the perfect place for snorkeling. We recommend the southern part of the coast, where the luxurious Serendipity Beach Resort is located. In the offshore reef, you will discover many colorful fish and corals, even without having to book a snorkeling trip. But also the northern beach section and the reefs around Karma Beach are perfect for snorkeling.
A popular activity at Sunrise Beach is a tour by kayak. This gives you the opportunity to circle the island of Koh Lipe and marvel at the tropical splendor from the sea.
