Podstrana, a town of about 12,000 inhabitants, is located in central Dalmatia, south of Split and right next to the small resort of Stobrec. Formerly a fishing village, Podstrana has now become a popular seaside resort, thanks to its many beautiful beaches. Along the almost 6 kilometer long coastline are numerous picturesque bathing bays with stunning sea colors, which attract sun-seeking tourists from all over the world. Beach Le Meridien
The Plaza Le Meridien, also known as Plaza Lav, is definitely one of the most stunning beaches of Podstrana for many vacationers. It is located directly below the Le Meridien Hotel of the same name and inspires with scenery as beautiful and unique as in travel magazines. Here you can swim on a fine pebble beach that slopes quite gently into the crystal-clear sea and is therefore also well suited for families with children. Really picturesque are the turquoise blue watercolors, which together with the palm trees conjure up an almost Caribbean flair.
Natural shade can be found in the northern section of the beach under the large Mediterranean trees. Hotel guests of Le Meridien are provided with sunshades and sunbeds free of charge. Non-hotel guests can also rent them for a fee. In the high season, a wide range of water sports such as SUP, windsurfing and water-skiing also provide the necessary action.

Podstrana Beach
