The beautiful beaches of Nin are, alongside the historic old town, one of the true highlights of the Zadar region. Typical for this area are the soft sandy beaches, the gently sloping sea and the constant pleasant breeze that provides refreshing cooling, especially on warm summer days. The most famous beach is the idyllic Queens Beach, also known as the Queens Beach of Nin, which is among the most popular beaches in the area. Actually, it is even considered by many to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia. However, the surroundings of Nin along the Nin Riviera also offer several outstanding beaches. Secluded pebble coves, quiet natural beaches, and long sandy shores invite you to swim, relax, and enjoy a perfect beach vacation in Nin.

In this travel guide, we present the 10 best beaches in Nin. You will also find plenty of helpful tips and useful information that will definitely support your vacation planning.

Beach Ninska Laguna

A very popular beach is the Ninska Laguna, an enchanting headland just near the center of Nin. This beautiful sandy beach is popular with tourists, but also locals appreciate this long dream beach. Especially families with small children love to swim here because the sea in the lagoon is mostly only knee-deep and, thus, even the youngest can play safely in the water. There are almost no natural shady places on this beach, but you can rent umbrellas and sunbeds for a fee.

At the beginning of the Ninska Laguna you will find a wide range of water sports activities, but also some snack bars and cafés. A wooden path leads to half of the lagoon and further out there, the beach gets much quieter.

Tip: The beautiful Apartments Vito are literally just a stone’s throw away from the sandy beach, and therefore the perfect accommodation for a vacation in Nin by the sea.

Queen’s Beach

The most famous beach in Nin is Queen’s Beach, also known as Kraljicina Beach. It is located in the west of the old town, about 3 kilometers from the city center. This dream beach owes its name to the wife of the first Croatian king Tomislav, who fell in love with this impressive sandy beach. With a length of about 3 kilometers, it is the longest sandy beach in Croatia. There is a lot of space to sunbathe, the beach is sloping gently, and also the sea inspires with a top water quality.

Especially, families appreciate this long beach section, where children can build sandcastles and splash around in the shallow sea. Food and drinks are provided by 3 beach bars, which all spoil with fantastic views. Behind the beach there are enough parking spaces, if you prefer to take the car.

Tip: Accommodations in direct beach location are not available. However, about 600 meters away from the beach you will find the Kartini Apartment, which scores with perfect equipment.

Beach Bilotinjak

The beach Bilotinjak is a real dream beach and is therefore one of the most beautiful bays in the whole Zadar region. Only 4 kilometers away from Nin old town, this beautiful sandy beach delights with an extraordinary picturesque scenery of red rocks, blue crystal-clear sea and fine sand.
