Playa de Levante Beach
Playa de Levante is one of the 2 main beaches in the city and at the same time one of the busiest beaches in Benidorm. This approximately two-kilometer-long sandy beach is sloping gently and you will find many sunbeds with parasols here. Also restaurants, bars, pubs, beach clubs and cafés are lined up on the palm-lined promenade. The Playa de Levante is well known for its parties, especially in the high season. But in the off-season, it is more tranquil.
There is also a wide range of activities on offer: Whether it is jet skiing, parasailing or other water sports activities, you won`t be bored here – that’s for sure. There are several playgrounds for children and there are also free outdoor gyms on the promenade.
Tip: There are plenty of accommodations at Playa de Levante, most of them beach-apartments. Really recommended are the Apartamento Ibañez and the Gastrohotel Boutique RH Canfali, from which you can enjoy a fantastic view over the sea.
Playa de Poniente Beach
The Playa de Poniente is like the Playa de Levante, located in the middle of the city center and is therefore another very popular beach in Benidorm. Here too, a fine sandy beach awaits you, where you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas. But also a few palm trees offer cool shade on hot summer days. This sandy beach is especially popular for older people, because they offer a wide range of activities like gymnastics, yoga and fitness for the elderly during the day.
On a beach length of 3.2 kilometers there is a beautiful promenade, where you can walk to the Mediterranean balcony, one of the most beautiful attractions of Benidorm and further to the neighboring beach Playa de Levante. Of course, there are also other offers for tourists on this beach, as well as a large selection of restaurants and pubs.
Tip: There are some large hotels at Playa de Poniente, such as the Hotel Villa Del Mar, which impresses with its brilliant location and delicious food.
Playa del Mal Pas Beach
Playa del Mal Pas is one of the most beautiful beaches in Benidorm and, thanks to its hidden location between the two lively main beaches, it is definitely one of the quieter bathing spots in the city. This fabulous bay is located just behind the small port of Benidrom, at the end of Playa de Poniente and therefore not far away from the viewpoint – the Mediterranean balcony. While bathing you can expect an extraordinary picturesque ambience, with a view of the tall palm trees and the church Església de Sant Jaume i Santa Anna in the old town.
The sandy beach is sloping gently, and the protective 120-meter-long bay guarantees swimming in the calm, crystal-clear sea. Snorkeling is possible here along the rocks. Couples, the elderly and those seeking tranquility especially appreciate Playa del Mal Pas, which is definitely one of the best beaches in Benidorm.
Platja de la Cala de Finestrat
One of the absolute dream beaches in Benidorm is the Cala de Finestrat. It is located about 10 kilometers from the city center, in the holiday resort of the same name, Finestrat. This picturesque bay convinces with the most beautiful sea colors, with a wonderful gently sloping bright beach, fantastic holiday flair and good accommodations. A visit in the off-season, i.e. in spring and autumn, is particularly recommended. At this time of the year the Platja de La Cala de Finestrat presents itself from its most beautiful side.

Racó del Conill Beach
Another beach highlight, not far from Benidorm is the Raco del Conill, a nudist beach as beautiful as out of a travel magazine. This dreamlike bay amazes with wonderful seclusion and relaxation, almost a family-like flair. Located in the midst of untouched nature, fragrant pine forests and picturesque rock formations, you will experience the finest textile-free bathing pleasure. Two small bays with fine pebble sand allow entry to the turquoise blue sea. Due to the rocks at the edge of the bay, Raco del Conill Beach is perfect for snorkeling!
For many, the Raco del Conill is one of the most beautiful beaches near Benidorm and it is a must for all nudists. You can reach this beach in around 13 kilometers from the city. There is free parking on site and a small bar that provides cool drinks.
Playa del Torres Beach
Another beautiful beach near Benidorm is Playa del Torres. This picturesque bay is also located south of the city, around 14 kilometers from the town center. This beach is a mix of fine pebbles and sand. Eucalyptus trees provide cool shade on hot days and the water in this region is wonderfully clear and clean. Even in summer there is not much going on at Playa del Torres, so you will always have a really quiet beach experience.
A beach bar and a restaurant provide food and drinks. There is a beautiful campsite right behind the beach – Camping el Torres, which gives the beach atmosphere a lot of cozy charm.
The Colada de la Costa hiking trail, which leads beautifully along the coast, is also very recommended. The route starts in the east of the beach, leads towards Racó del Conill bay and then onto Finestrat beach.
Cala Almadraba Beach
Cala Almadraba bay is amazingly beautiful and another dream beach near Benidorm. This bay is not far from the city, on the edge of the Sierra Helada Nature Park. Due to its hidden location and the relatively steep access, this approximately 100-meter-long beach is mostly quiet and lonely. Some bathers even use this bay as a nudist beach. However, textile-free swimming is not a must. A really nice beach just around the corner of Benidorm!
Cala Tío Ximo Beach
The Cala Tio Ximo is also inside the Sierra Helada Nature Park and, like the Cala Almadraba, just a stone’s throw away from the lively city center. The bay is with around 60 meters very small, but a really quiet beach atmosphere awaits you here. Due to the crystal-clear water and the rocky bottom, this beach is a great spot for snorkelers and to explore the underwater world. This is the ideal beach in Benidorm for everyone who wants to enjoy a quiet day at the sea in a beautiful natural setting.
