Beach Playa la Roda

The 500-meter-long Playa la Roda is the main beach of Altea and, at the same time, one of the most popular beaches in the city. It is located beneath the historic old town and starts right next to the port area. Playa La Roda is a mix of sand and pebble, a beach that drops into the sea very quickly. Sunbeds and parasols can be rented during the season. A beautiful palm-lined promenade runs along the beach. Up there are many fantastic restaurants, cozy cafés and tapas bars. There is also recommended accommodation right on the beach.

Tip: We recommend the MAGNÍFICO APARTAMENTO JUNTO, a lovely apartment in a prime location on the beach with a view of the sea.

Beach Playa del Albir

Playa del Albir is a top-rated beach just 4 kilometers from Altea old town and another popular holiday resort on the Costa Blanca. The long bay captivates with a beautiful bright pebble beach, unique blue sea colors and a great view of the Sierra Helada Natural Park in the north. Here you will also find a good selection of restaurants and cafés, and some fantastic apartments and villas are located close to the beach.

Tip: If you would like to stay in Albir, you will find some charming vacation apartments on the beach, but also nearby, such as Fin Albir Playa.

Beach Nueva Playa De Altea

The Nueva Playa De Altea, which is translated as the “new beach of Altea”, is another popular place for a beach-day in the picturesque coastal town. This beach is a fine pebble beach and the long bay offers enough space to sunbathe and relax. It is connected to the main beach, Playa La Roda, and is easily accessible via the beach promenade. Behind that beach are some good accommodations, such as the beautiful Beach Front Line Penthouse with a fantastic sea view.

Beach Platja Mascarat

The wonderful bays of Mascarat, which are located around 6 kilometers north of Altea town, are beautiful and a real beach highlight. The beach Platja Mascarat, a beautiful bay with fine pebbles and crystal-clear sea, is ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Especially in the low season, you will find a secluded dream beach here where you can really unwind.

Beach Cala El Collao

A real eye-catcher is the beach Cala el Collao, a hidden beach near Altea, which captivates with a unique backdrop of steep rocks and fantastically beautiful sea colors. This beach is a stone beach, but it turns into fine, white sand in the sea and that makes the bay shimmer in turquoise blue tones. The water here is also very clear and is therefore ideal for snorkelers.
