General information about Silver Beach

The Silver Beach, also known as Haad Thong Ta-khian or Crystal Bay, is located on the east coast of the resort island of Koh Samui. It is close to the popular resort of Lamai Beach and can also be easily reached from the famous Chaweng Beach. Silver Beach is known for its turquoise waters and fine white sand, making it ideal for swimming and relaxing. Iconic rock formations on the beach and in the sea also create a true postcard panorama, often compared to the Caribbean. The picturesque scenery is characterized by the lush jungle in the hinterland and the majestic coconut trees that provide natural shade. Compared to the large main beaches of Koh Samui, Silver Beach is a quieter and less crowded spot on the island. This makes it attractive to travelers looking for paradise away from the hustle and bustle.

Thanks to the natural environment and crystal clear waters, Silver Beach is perfect for snorkeling. In the immediate vicinity of the beach, especially on the granite rocks and reefs, an exciting underwater world can be explored. Besides swimming, relaxing and snorkeling, Silver Beach also offers the possibility of relaxing massages on the beach. In addition, you can rent a kayak or a stand-up paddleboard and explore the breathtaking coastal scenery from the sea. A delicious lunch or dinner at one of the beautiful restaurants and beach bars under the shade of coconut trees completes the beach experience. Umbrellas and sunbeds are available for rent at many of the bars.
