Portoroz Beach

The Portoroz Beach is the central, large bay of the resort and probably the most popular choice for a beach vacation. Situated between the famous Palace Kempinski Hotel and the large yacht marina, it is a popular meeting place for locals and tourists alike. The motto here is to see and be seen. There is always something going on at Portoroz Beach, with music, beach bars and a lively atmosphere. Visitors love the great mix of concrete and sandy beach, which offers the best conditions for relaxing, swimming and sunbathing. There are also green sunbathing areas and landscaped sandy beaches where umbrellas and sunbeds can be rented. A special feature of the Portoroz beach are the piers from which you can enjoy a magnificent view of the sea.

In addition, the beach of Portoroz is an ideal place for families with children. The sandy bottom allows an optimal entry into the sea, the lifeguards provide safety and the offer of sports and entertainment is excellent. In addition, the main beach flies the Blue Flag, an award for the best facilities, beach and water quality.

The beach of Monfort can be reached along the promenade from the town of Portoroz or from the town of Piran. There is also a bus stop. If you come by car, there is a parking lot next to the former salt storehouses.

Tip: Behind the beach there is a settlement with many apartments. Popular is the Apartment Casetta with garden and only 5 minutes from the sea.

Fiesa Beach

A real gem is the picturesque Fiesa Beach. This gorgeous bay is one of the most beautiful beaches near Portoroz and a real insider tip for an unforgettable vacation on the picturesque Slovenian coast. This dream beach is located to the north of the resort and can be reached by car in just a few minutes. St. Bernardin Beach (Vile Park)

The charming St. Bernardin Beach is located in the immediate vicinity of the Vile Park Hotel and is a truly popular beach in Portoroz. Although this stretch of coastline belongs to the hotel complex mentioned above, non-hotel guests can also use this beach free of charge. The entire beach area is very well maintained and beautifully landscaped. As this is a concrete beach, there are stairs and ladders leading down to the crystal clear sea. Behind the beach there is a lovely green lawn for sunbathing and shady spots among the fragrant pine trees. Nearby are beach bars, restaurants, cafes and some shops. There is even a nice swimming pool for the guests of the surrounding hotels.

The beach of St. Bernardin is located 2 kilometers outside the center of Portoroz, but is easily accessible by foot along the promenade or by car. Paid parking is available right in front of the beach.

Beach Grand Hotel Bernardin

Although the Plaza Grand Hotel Bernardin is a 5-star hotel, the beach is open to all visitors, whether hotel guests or not. However, outside visitors must rent umbrellas and lounge chairs for a fee.

Moon Bay

The famous Moon Bay, also known as Mesečev zaliv Beach, is definitely the most extraordinary beach in the Portoroz area. It has been voted one of the most beautiful beaches in Slovenia several times. Moon Bay is located in the beautiful nature reserve of Strunjan, only about 5 kilometers from the center of Portoroz. The best way to reach this dream beach is a short walk from the parking lot in Strunjan. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes for the final descent into the bay. There are no beach bars or restaurants here, just a fairytale nature experience.
