There is always something going on here, and the motto is: see and be seen! The main attraction and a real gem is the long, famous shopping street, lined with trees and palm trees, which gives the resort a sophisticated ambience. On a length of more than one kilometer, there are countless cool boutiques with original Italian as well as international brands that invite you to do some shopping. In between there are always excellent restaurants, bars, ice-cream parlors and for families with children there are numerous arcades, playgrounds and even a nostalgic carousel in the beautiful Parco San Giovanni Bosco.

Lignano Pineta

The beautiful Lignano Pineta is a quieter part of Lignano and a great choice for a vacation. The area is relatively young, having been established only in the 1950s. The center is laid out in a spiral, with a shopping street in the middle, with numerous souvenir shops, good restaurants, bars and cafés, leading to the sea. A special feature of Pineta are the many pine trees and parks that give the resort a Mediterranean atmosphere. The Hemingway Park is also very nice for the children, where there are playgrounds and fitness courses free of charge.

The marina also has a yacht club, boutiques and shops. With 1200 berths, it is one of the largest in the Upper Adriatic. Walking through the marina, one is amazed by the numerous boats bobbing in the sea, giving Lignano a splendid maritime character.

Weekly Market

The traditional weekly market in Lignano is worth a visit. It takes place every Monday morning between 8:00 and 13:00 and is a little highlight for bargain hunters. It is located right next to the stadium and the Aqua Park of Lignano. On the large square the merchants line up and offer their goods to the vacationers. Here you can find mainly clothes, handbags and beach towels, but also a lot of bric-a-brac, toys and household items. There are also a few stalls selling local products such as wine, cheese, olive oil, ham and honey, and snack stands offering snacks, drinks and coffee. It’s worth comparing prices and bargaining, as many goods can also be found in the center of Lignano.

Lignano Riviera

The beautiful Lignano Riviera is located at the lower end of Lignano, where the Tagliamento River flows into the sea, and is considered the quietest area of the resort. The surrounding area is characterized by lush Mediterranean vegetation with numerous centuries-old pine trees that create a beautiful atmosphere. On a length of about 3 kilometers you can find several beach resorts and there are also sections without umbrellas. There is also a bicycle path along the coast, which, thanks to a small ferry, leads to the neighboring town of Bibione. On the beach of Lignano Riviera you can practice water sports such as sailing, windsurfing, jet skiing and parasailing. The Punta Verde Zoo and the popular Lignano Gold Square are also located in Lignano Riviera.
